| Music and poetry from Latin America and Spain featuring actor, Diego Arciniegas, Artistic Director of Publick Theatre Boston; Chris Turner, Harmonica/ Reader; Gigi Mitchell-Velasco, Mezzo-Soprano; Katherine Winterstein, Violin; Charles Sherba, Violin; Consuelo Sherba, Viola; and Ted Mook, Cello. Poetry of Lorca, Neruda, Andrade, Fuertes and Jimenez will be read in Spanish and English, with songs of Montsalvatge and Villa-Lobos; chamber music of Turina and Piazzola; and improvisations by harmonica virtuoso, Chris Turner. Program will be introduced by Francisco Noya, resident conductor of the RI Philharmonic. Q & A following performance. |
