Showcasing Rhode Island's finest professional repertory companies:

JUMP!—the innovative young persons’ dance company—will present Carnival of the Animals excerpts to the delightful score by French Romantic composer Camille Saint-Saëns. Reinterpreting this classic chamber work, JUMP! has humanized the animals featured in each animal number. Otters are the naughty friends that children can’t resist and that parents are loath to entertain. Elephants are party-crashers par excellence—tipsy creatures who always manage to talk too loudly, break the crystal, insult the guest of honor and finally send everyone off into another room. Fireflies are delicate creatures stuck in a glass jar, and turtles are quiet but selfish creatures who abandon their friends and think only of finding their own rock in the sun.

Fusionworks' tag line is "Different is Good". This high-energy, sassy troupe offers the finest contemporary dance concert offering a tapas menu of dances that are gutsy, provocative, witty and accessible. The dances that will be performed include "Oh Tom You Naughty, Naughty Boy", "Distant Aidenn", "Mynah Riff"
