THE PRINCESS BRIDE

A fairy tale adventure about a beautiful young woman and her one true love. He must find her after a long separation and save her. They must battle the evils of the mythical kingdom of Florin to be reunited with each other. Based on the William Goldman novel "The Princess Bride" which earned its own loyal audience.

The Princess Bride is a 1987 American fantasy adventure comedy film directed and co-produced by Rob Reiner, starring Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Mandy Patinkin, Chris Sarandon, Wallace Shawn, André the Giant, and Christopher Guest. Adapted by William Goldman from his 1973 novel The Princess Bride, it tells the story of a farmhand named Westley, accompanied by companions befriended along the way, who must rescue his true love Princess Buttercup from the odious Prince Humperdinck. The film essentially preserves the novel's narrative style by presenting the story as a book being read by a grandfather (Peter Falk) to his sick grandson (Fred Savage).

Kina Zoré

Bio

For almost a decade, Kina Zore has brought jubilation to hundreds of dance floors across North America with award-winning songwriting and virtuosic instrumental performances. KZ’s two missions are: to bring diverse people together through music and to pay tribute and bring recognition to the beautifully diverse stories, cultures, and languages of Mozambique that are disappearing through globalization. Many of the song’s lyrics depict critical social issues - war, HIV/AIDS, famine and more - that continue to affect Mozambicans and many others all over the world. It is a desire of KZ to more actively combat these issues.

Kina Zoré begins with Helder Tsinine, a native of Maputo, the capital city of Mozambique. In the aftermath of Mozambique's independence from the colonial Portuguese in 1975, there was a 15-year civil war afflicting the country with violence, illness, and poverty. During this time, Helder was fortunate to live in the city away from war.  His family housed refugees from all over country who would share different cultures, language, and music. This cultural exchange became a major source of inspiration. KZ has become a vehicle to share these stories with diverse audiences across North America.

KZ was recently honored to be invited to play for current Mozambican president Filipe Nyusi. Helder's original song, "Va Gumulelana (They Are Fighting)" won the John Lennon Songwriting Contest Grand Prize. The band has shared the stage with Angelique Kidjo, the Skatalites, Red Baraat, Zap Mama, Debo Band, Sierra Leone Refugee All-Stars and Jazzmeia Horn. Kina Zoré has toured in numerous major locales in North America.
